May all the Children

May all the children who are born on this planet
Have a mother who's healthy
And a father who's kind
May the place of their birth be a warm and a safe one
May they posess their own body
Their soul and their mind

Tell me the story of others
Let me listen to thoughts of women unknown
Make me understand the difference
Between comfort and care
Or being on your own

In the dark of the night through the silence
There's the cry of a child
The sound goes straight to your heart
Is it a scream of misery
Or the announcement of a new start
The cry of a brand new start

May all the children who are born on this planet
Have a mother who's healthy
And a father who's kind
May the place of their birth be a warm and a safe one
May they posess their own body
Their soul and their mind

It's time to unveil the knowledge
That makes the difference between life and death
It's time to share the knowledge
That makes the difference between life and death
In the dark of the night etc...
